Our journey began with a consultation. The family, originally from Kerala, wanted to host an Onam Sadhya for their friends and colleagues in their chic Noida high-rise. Their brief was clear: they wanted the decor to feel authentically Onam but not overwhelm their minimalist interior. They sought more than just a pookalam; they envisioned an immersive experience that would transport their guests to the lush landscapes of their homeland, even for an afternoon.

The centre was adorned with a tall brass 'nilavilakku' (traditional lamp), ready to be lit to signify the start of the celebrations.
